Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this research, we develop game theoretic models to support strategic decision making for determining coalition formation in supply chain networks. We focus both on vertical and horizontal alliance. Although most of previous studies explore only two-tier supply chain consisting of manufacturers and retailers, we extensively consider various types of chain structures. In addition, not only in a distribution stage well studied in the previous literature, we also investigate coalition formation in some other important marketing activities including product design, advertising, and so on. The theoretical results obtained through our model analysis could provide rich insights into firms' strategic alliance in various structures and aspects in the real-world supply chains.
