| Research Abstract |
・主な調査対象である雑誌 The New Republic の電子化・データベース化を行った。
・本研究の主対象である同雑誌周辺で活躍した1920-30年代の知識人（Kenneth Burke, Malcolm Cowley, Edmund Wison）の著作、記事、関連図書についても資料の収集と整理を行った。
・以上の準備的作業と並行して、研究対象の一人であるMalcolm Cowleyの1930年代録（The Dream of Golden Mountains）の翻訳を行った。

Reason
資料収集（1920-30年代と関連のある主として英語圏の図書・雑誌）については、入手の困難な古書も多く、必ずしも当初の予定通りとなっていない。
ただし上記の重要資料のひとつの翻訳（Malcolm Cowley, The Dream of Golden Mountains）については本文の訳が一通り終わり、推敲および索引や注釈の作成の段階に入っている。
この翻訳は、研究論文作成の際に重要な資料の一つとなる予定であり、全体として研究は順調に進んでいる。

概ね予定通りであるが、24年度に入手できなかった資料については 、国内他大学図書館などを対象に、複写資料などによる調査・収集を継続する予定である。
