Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The study focused on the historical changes and movements of the revitalization of Christian faith mainly in the Victorian Era in order to investigate the effect on creative activities in literature and art from the Regency period onwards, specifically from the end of the 18th century to the beginning of the 20th century. By analyzing many novels of the period such as those by Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, Charlotte Bronte;, and Thomas Hardy, as well as paintings and architecture of the period such as that of A. W. N. Pugin, we confirmed the power of changing society within literature and art and demonstrated how Victorian people tried to resist the trend in an era of secularization.
