Outline of Final Research Achievements |
There are 737 falconry books owned by the Imperial Household Library. 639 of those were donation boooks from the Matsue feudal clan donated it to the study. The falconry books are possessed to some libraries or some historical materials building of each place of Japan, too. I investigated such books as much as possible. And I classified them as follows and analyzed it in detail. In other word, it is 1).court nobles, 2).samurai family of the Middle Ages, 3).falconer of official affairs, 4).falconer of the Matsue feudal clan, 5).others. I analyzed falconer's teminology and considered significance as the Japanese data for the study.
