Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Health care has been considered one of important functions in modern welfare state since illness may lead people to poverty and security for medical access is key policy of welfare regime building. During post-war decades in Japan, substantial development of medical services including more licensed medical professionals, hospitals of high qualities, and more egalitarian health insurance system had been promoted by governments. Focusing upon 15 years during World Wars, militant systems such as more army surgeon schools and Resident Public Health Nurses for perinatal care in rural areas are key to produce postwar liberal welfare state policies.
