マーチャント・バンク（英系）と投資銀行＝インベストメント・バンク（米系）の業務上の結節点を探るべく，投資銀行と多大な取引をもったマーチャント・バンクであるクラインワート商会のレコードをリサーチした。クラインワート商会の公式社史となるJehanne Wake, Kleinwort Benson, 1997および Stefanie Diaper, "The History of Kleinwort, Sons and Co in Merchant Banking, 1855-1961" (unpublished Ph D Thesis, Nottingham University, 1983)を入手し内容を検討した。以上の作業の後，ロンドン・メトロポリタン・アーカイヴズを訪問してクラインワート商会のビジネス・レコードの調査と収集を実施した。Information Book, Monthly Balances of Account, Statistics (bills payable & receivable), Client Accounts Ledgersなどを閲覧し，米系投資銀行との金融および商品取引を解明した。
投資銀行に関しては，ニューヨークのセリグマン商会の社史ドラフト Linton Wells, The House of Seligman, Typescript in the New York Historical Society, 1931 や刊行社史R.L. Muir & C.J. White, Over the Long Term…,1964を入手し内容を解読した。London School of Economics図書館のオンライン・データーベース－ Congressional Hearings Digital Collection Historical Archives, Banking Information Sourcesを利用してmerchant bankingや investment bankingの業務内容に関する情報を入手した。また，既に入手済みであるJ.P.モルガン・ミュージアム，ニューヨーク連銀アーカイヴズ，ベーカー図書館T.W.ラモント文書などの史料との照合を試みた。
アイスランドの2008年の金融危機の事例に関して， Icelandic Special Investigation Commission報告書， R.Z. Aliber & G. Zoega (eds.), Preludes to the Icelandic Financial Crisis, 2011を入手し分析した。
