Outline of Final Research Achievements

As the number of immigrant children who attend public schools in Mie Prefecture increases, local educational boards and volunteer groups offer Japanese language classes as well as study support programs. Among those efforts, we researched local supporting actors focusing on teenagers who aim at high school education or even higher.
In Mie Prefecture, the network including public agencies, local NPOs and voluntary learning support groups has been served effectively. In terms of this age group, it is also important for supporting actors to provide immigrant parents with accurate information regarding academic and career options in Japan.
