Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We accomplished the first aim of this project. Investigation of basic characters of organic nanotubes can develop the academic domain of the self-assembled nanomaterials. Industrial application of the nanotubes is now examined because we functionalized the nanotubes in several fields. Main outcomes in the field of fundamental studies are following three things. First is the evaluation of molecular structures in the nanotubes using detailed spectroscopic analyses. Second is the quantification of interactions in the nanotubes from the results of surface viscosity analyses. Third is the production of six-type novel organic nanotubes. Main outcomes in the field of applied studies are following four things. First is the application to catalysts for oxidation reactions. Second is the application to DDS by complexation with anti-cancer drugs. Third is the mass production of ferromagnetic nanotubes. Fourth is the application to produced water treatment technology using as absorbents.
