Outline of Final Research Achievements

Many proteins are known to have various modifications for functional regulation in the cell. Among them, phosphorylation/dephosphorylation is one of the major modifications that regulates activity of protein itself or interactions with other molecules. In this study, multiple genes that functionally interact with the protein phosphatases were identified and analyzed by a comprehensive genetic approach using fission yeast.
