Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study investigated the effects of plasmalogens on the skin barrier function in NHEK cells of normal human epidermal keratinocytes and NC/Nga mice of atopic dermatitis model. PlsEtn enhances the skin barrier function through the assembly and the expression of the TJ proteins in NHEKs.Intake of the food material that increases plasmalogen in body has the improvement effect against the atopic dermatitis in NC/Nga mice.
