Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Experimental production of TCBZ-resistant parthenogenic Fasciola sp. was attempted due to hybridyzation between Fasciola hepatica and diploid parthenogenic Fasciola sp.(Fg lineage). Hybrid F1 and F2 descendants produced had aberrant meiotic division in their spermatogenesis as well as wild-type parthenogenic Fasciola sp. However, the descendants were proved to be TCBZ-susceptible due to TCBZ administration experiments, and the development of egg-hatching assay turn out not to be ture.
