Outline of Final Research Achievements |
1. Molecular motor protein myosins (myosin V, VI, VIII) and dynein were fused with fluorescent GFP proteins and intracellular localization of these fusion proteins were examined. However, colocalization of these molecular motor proteins with steroid hormone receptors has not been observed. 2. A new SERM, bazedoxifene, did not cause translocation of estrogen receptors into the nucleoli, which was observed after treatment with raloxifene. However, bazedoxifene markedly suppressed ER-mediated transcriptional activation as well as raloxifene. 3. It has been suggested that TXNIP is involved in the process of acquisition of glucocortocoid-induced insulin resistance in preadipocytes.
