Outline of Final Research Achievements

Arterial spin labeling (ASL) MRI is a useful method to measure cerebral blood flow (CBF) non-invasively. However, the improvement of quantitativity of ASL is still needed. We evaluated the accuracy of ASL method by comparing with other modalities as positron CT and single photon emission CT. It was clarified that both transit delay and permeability change were the important factors that affected the ASL-CBF differently. Taking into account with these parameters will improve the accuracy of ASL-CBF measurement.
