Author divided 82 cases of abusive head trauma(AHT)/shaken baby syndrome(SBS) into six groups according to radiological findings. Group 1; diffuse brain injury with multiple contusion or cerebral hematoma. Group 2; acute thick subdural hematoma with severe midline shift. Group 3; acute thin subdural hematoma with diffuse brain swelling. Group 4; chronic subdural hematoma with new bleeding. Group 5 thin, mild subdural hematoma without parenchyma injury. Group 6; multiple skull fracture with or without subarachnoid hemorrhage, brain swelling, and epidural hematoma. Of 33 cases mechanical force are estimated as cases were injured due to hitting or throwing or dropping in Group1, violent shaking in Group 2 & Group 3, repeat shaking in Group 4, soft shaking in Group 5 and pressing in Group 6 respectively.
