Outline of Final Research Achievements |
To clarify the pathogenesis of the injury of the attachment of the tendon/ligament (i.e. enthesis), we investigated the nerve elements and angiogenesis, which might cause some symptoms, such as pain, and the repair reaction. We demonstrated that they were present at synovial adipose tissue around the enthesis (i.e. enthesis organ). In this study, Although the blood vessels increase strongly after the injury of the enthesis, it was unable to clear whether nerve elements react strongly. The administration of hyaluronic acid to the injury site of the enthesis, compared to the non-administration group, it was found that the repair response to injury occurs more rapidly (promoting action).
