Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Recently, the prevalence of myopia is rapidly increasing especially in Asian countries. High myopia can lead to severe visual disturbance due to its complications such as choroidal neovascularization. By performing genome-wide association studies and animal studies, we found that WNT7B, C1orf110, and MMP20 might have important roles in the development of choroidal neovascularization in high myopia.
