Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study is describe the picture book environment of Kindergartens in East Asia in order to get clue to nurture a zest for living in the globalization of society.In Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, 5-year-olds’picture book environments of kindergartens were investigated from the viewpoints both of ‘philosophy and policy’ and of ‘practice’. From three viewpoints, which are ‘Nation or Region’, ‘Kindergarten’, and ‘Teacher’, data were collected. These data were analyzed both comprehensively and cross-culturally. I proposed five viewpoints in constructing of picture book environment;(a)Art,(b)Traditional Culture,(c)Expression,(d)Communication, (e)Teaching Material of growing language.
