Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this research is to clarify the social function of PR sections of organizations. News materials circulation is discussed in the context of distribution theories. PR sections not only disperse news materials but also collect them. I conducted empirical research by using questionnaires to the Japanese tourist associations. We predicted that assortment of information in media relations efforts affects its outcomes. We measured assortment of information using variables “gathering” and “planning appeal”. Planning appeal significantly increases outcomes. Gathering tends to increases outcomes, but it’s not have statistically significant difference. At the end I studied empirical research to journalists. In context of regional resources PR, I found that journalists place importance on assortment activities of PR practitioners more than dissemination activities. Additionally journalists relatively placed importance on responsive activities.
