Research Abstract |
Item response theory (IRT) is used in many testing applications, since this provides major advantage: comparability of test scores from different test forms. However, IRT scaled scores are complicate for students to calculate. In this study, we extended globally optimal scoring weights to more general IRT models. We also applied these weights to a quick method for ability estimation and showed the efficiencies using simulated data and real data.
