Research Abstract |
Universities in Japan are undergoing educational transformation under the concept of "Overall Undergraduate Program" after the 2008 Report of Central Education Council. Nowadays, new concepts and methods for university reform, such as Active Learning, Flipped Classroom, Liberal Arts Program for Senior Students and Graduate Students, and Course Numbering System, emerged and introduced to several innovative universities. We tried to investigate possibilities and limitations of these new methods. We surveyed and compared reforms of innovative universities at home and abroad, and developed "evaluation indices" to improve the course for Liberal and General Education.
