Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Because there was almost no description about architectural history in Ryukyu, I challenged an unknown important issue as creation of Ryukyu architectural history. As a result, it found that there is a strong tendency to maintain a unique tradition in the Ryukyu culture, and new changes have been brought about by interaction with foreign. These are important facts. Therefore, the configuration of the Ryukyu architectural history, is roughly divided into building group inherit a unique tradition, and building group said to promote the modernization. And setting the former as the foundation, I will delineate the Ryukyu architectural history as each of transition and a mutual relationship. We think this method is appropriate.
