Research Abstract |
Phosphatidylglycerophosphate (PGP) is a mitochondrial glycerophospholipid, known as a precursor of cardiolipin. We tried to identify PGP-binding proteins in mitochondria for elucidation of unique physiological functions of PGP. However, none of mitochondrial proteins containing known phospholipid binding domains binds PGP. Therefore, PGP-binding proteins might have a novel lipid-binding domain.
