Research Abstract |
In this study, we generated hereditary connective tissue disorder mouse model using TGF-b type I receptor point-mutation knock-in ES cells to investigate molecular pathogenesis of aggressive periodontitis. So far, knock-in hetero mice are fertile and show normal growth and development. On the other hand, knock-in homo mice is never produced. The TGF-b type I receptor point-mutation resulted in over-activation of TGF-b signal pathway in 293 cells, suggesting TGF-b signal disorder in the knock-in mice.
