Outline of Final Research Achievements

The purpose of this study is to examine relationships of warm-up intensity, procedures and performance enhancement effects at long distance running.
This study investigated that sub-maximal running performance may improve by presence or absence of a warm-up, static stretching, sprinting or by warm-up intensity.
In the results, sub-maximal running performances were not changed by presence or absence of a warm-up, static stretching or by warm-up intensity. But sub-maximal running performances were decreased by doing warm-up and sprinting. These results suggested that sub-maximal running performances may not be impaired by insufficient warm-up, but sub-maximal running performances may decrease by too much hard warm-up.
