Research Abstract

To provide an overview of single neurons in central gustatory neural circuits, we applied juxtacellular recording-labeling technique in rat brain. As a result, single neurons were identified, and their cell bodies, axons, and dendrites were visualized. Furthermore, using digital slide scanner allowed to reconstruct single neurons. We confirmed that juxtacellular recording-labeling technique was effective tool for gustatory neural circuits research.
