Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This research project shows 1. there is no significant substitution between telecommunication and pay-TV, 2. bundle of channels or genre increases the consumer surplus under receiving fees system, 3. using two-stage game for decision making for bundling and price competition, bundling fixed broadband and mobile communications reduces consumer surplus. It also found a condition that spectrum auction may allocate spectrum to broadcasters which results lower social surplus comparing with telecommunication operators.
