Outline of Final Research Achievements

Based on empirical analyses using the micro data of nationally and regionally representative Russian household surveys as well as institutional analyses on legislation relating to social security in Russia, this project examined why the inequality that drastically increased in Russia during transition from planned to market economy, remained high even during the economic growth in 2000s.
