Outline of Final Research Achievements |
For studying roles of radiation from young massive stars in driving galactic outflows, we have developed a new radiation transfer code that can efficiently run on massively parallel computers including a cluster of GPGPUs. We have also implemented a phenomenological model of radiation pressure on dust grains in cosmological simulations of galaxy formation. We find that, without this process, evolution of a stellar mass-gas metallicity relation of star-forming galaxies cannot be explained.
