Research Abstract |
I identified a set of GARP transcription factors as regulators of a high-affinity nitrate transporter gene AtNRT2.4, which is crucial for optimal adaptation to nitrogen starvation. I demonstrated that the GARP transcription factors act as transcriptional repressors to suppress AtNRT2.4 expression in nitrogen-replete conditions.
