Research Abstract |
Bioactive cyclic peroxides are expected to be candidates for new drugs such as antimalarial and anticancer agents. I aimed to develop the rational method for the synthesis of these peroxides and studied the synthrsis of okundoperoxide. I developed the stereoselective introduction method of peroxide unit by employing the Diels-Alder reaction between silyl dienyl ether and singlet oxygen. First asymmetric total synthesis of okundoperoxide has also been accomplished by using this method.
