Outline of Final Research Achievements

We examined expression of protein MUL and FIP200 in the neurodegenerative disease and relations of the neuron degeneration. For cerebral cortex and the cerebellar cortex of the patients with several kinds of neurodegenerative disease held an autopsy by a past, we immunostained it and showed a decrease of the expression of FIP200 in the cerebellum Purkinje cell in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. This might result in hyperactivity of MUL by abnormality of the autophagy, but was not able to elucidate it.
