Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Glioblastoma is one of the most radioresistant tumors and the patients have poor prognosis. Hypoxia inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α), molecular markers of hypoxia, has been reported to be associated with radioresistance. We demonstrated that radiation-induced HIF-1α increases PDK1 expression in glioblastoma cells. In the future, this mechanism will be evaluated in vivo model.
