Outline of Final Research Achievements |
(1)Inflamed retina contains CD4-positive IL-10 producing cells. While IL-27 regulates Th17 infiltration, IL-35 suggested to produce IFN-γ from CD4-positive cells, which leads to Th1-induced anti-inflammatory mechanism. (2) EBI3, a subunit of IL-27/IL-35, induces Th1 response and CD4-positive IL-10 producing cells upon initial inflammation, which in turn inhibits Th1/Th17 response on late inflammatory phase presumably by increasing CD4-positive IL-10 producing cells.
