| Research Abstract |
In the present study,we investigated the practical aspects of self-care support for chemotherapy outpatients with oral mucositis. We also examined patients' oral conditions and self-care practices, the handling by their family members, and related difficulties. Therefore, self-care support programs should incorporate enhanced initial education prior to chemotherapy, impressive approaches to education using audio-visual and other materials, seamless ongoing support between hospital wards and outpatient departments, and support for family members.
