Outline of Final Research Achievements

We developed decision support guidelines regarding children with developmental disabilities and their families to be used by medical service providers. The guidelines were prepared based on the results of interviews with children and their families, nurses, and physicians, as well as the views of pediatric certified nurse specialists. We asked the nurses to implement the guidelines for daily care of children and their families in clinical settings. As a result, some responses, such as discussions regarding medical treatment and daily life, were obtained from the children and their guardians. It was suggested that the use of the guidelines was effective.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
