Research Abstract |
In this research, we proposed a video compression algorithm for video cluster. Generally, there exist similar video or image contents that have some redundancy. Therefore if the redundancy among similar video contents is reduced, the amount information of entire video contents can be reduced significantly. However, conventional video coders do not consider reducing inter-video redundancy. In order to reduce the inter-video redundancy, we introduce lifting-based prediction, direction-adaptive transform, and decoder-side color information recovery. The proposed method can save the amount information for entire video contents significantly.
