Research Abstract |
I investigated the fracture mechanism of Carbon nanotube(CNT)/metal interface using first-principles calculation in order to enhance the reliability of CNT/Metal nanocomposites. As the result, the mechanical properties of CNT/metal interface in this study was affected by misfit strain between CNT and metals as well as their bonding.
