Outline of Final Research Achievements

Both trauma and periodontal inflammation were simultaneously induced in rats. All rats were killed and their maxillary first molars with surrounding tissues were observed histopathologically. We examined participation in periodontal destruction of the occlusal trauma.
Furthermore, we induced periodontitis in rats by Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans or Streptococcus aureus. Periodontal tissues were observed histopathologically. We examined participation in periodontal destruction of the oral bacteria.
