Research Abstract |
In this study, we focused on human placental epigenetic regulation which might be affected by fetal growth restriction or gestational maternal weight gain. As a result, inadequate gestational weight gain augmented randomicity at epigenetic regulations even in placentas from normal birth weight. Furthermore, it is suggested that fetal growth restriction caused non-uniformity in epigenetic status independent from gestational weight gain.
