Scientific Significance and Expected Research Achievements

本研究は、構造化照明（3D-SIM）と斜光照明（1分子イメージング）によるほぼ同時の観察により、クロマチンドメインの動態とその中の個々のヌクレオソームの動きを調べようという挑戦的な研究である。ユークロマチン・ヘテロクロマチンの物理的実体、エピゲノムや転写活性との関係を明らかにし、クロマチン研究に新たな展開を起こすことが期待できる。
