Scientific Significance and Expected Research Achievements

光演算回路の設計最適化技術、光演算回路によるニューラルネットワーク回路、光演算回路による高次多値変調方式光トランシーバシステムを開発することで、光演算回路アーキテクチャとその応用である光トランシーバシステムにおいて、光の高速性と広帯域性及び低消費電力性を最大限に引き出すことが期待される。また、光トランシーバシステムの低エネルギー限界を明らかにすることの学術的な意義も大きい。
