Scientific Significance and Expected Research Achievements

新しい分析手法の開発により、日本列島の考古遺跡から発見される遺物や地層の年代測定精度を上げようとする研究である。南島地域における人間活動がこれまでにない精度で推定できるようになれば、認識が大きく書き換えられる可能性があり、国際的にもインパクトがあると考えられる。
