Scientific Significance and Expected Research Achievements	認知症の病態に関する研究であり、学術的、社会的に重要である。応募者は、認知症における異常蛋白の凝集はプリオン様伝播を示すという仮説をいち早く提唱し、顕著な業績を挙げている。本研究では、応募者らが独自に構築したタウ病態を再現する細胞およびマウスの伝播モデルを用いて、プリオン様伝播の機序を明らかにすることを目的としており、タウの凝集体形成と伝播に関わる因子の同定などについての成果が期待される。
