Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究課題は乱流研究のフロンティアの開拓を目指し、一様等方性を超えた非等方性乱流中の構造の非線形動力学の解明とそれがもたらす統計理論の構築を行う事を大目標としている。主要な方法論として (1) Navier-Stokes方程式やEuler方程式といった流体力学の基礎方程式の大規模数値解析をスーパーコンピューターを利用して実行する、(2) 得られた数値結果に対してこれまでの理論との比較を行い、数学モデルの構築を通して新たな理論構成に発展させていく、という2つを用いて研究を進めた。特に重要なキーワードとして渦や波といった流れ場の構造の非等方性およびそれに関わる流体方程式の解の特異性を挙げ、主要なテーマとして [a] 宇宙・地球流体乱流及びMHD乱流における非等方的な流れ構造の動力学、[b] 非等方性乱流の統計理論とその数値解析、[c] 流体方程式の流れ構造のもたらす特異性に注目して研究を行っている。
本年度は最終年度として昨年度に引き続き成層乱流のエネルギースペクトルとエネルギートランスファーについて名古屋大学情報基盤センターのスーパーコンピュータを使用して数値解析を進めるとともに研究全体の総括をすることに努めた。成果として流体方程式の解の特異性の問題に絡んで渦のリコネクションのモデル解析を進め結果を発表し、また成層乱流の2次元性と3次元性の観点からエネルギースペクトルの時間発展に関して報告を行った。
さらに研究をまとめ、問題の整理を行うために以下のワークショップを開催した。
