Outline of Annual Research Achievements

アブラナ科植物の自家不和合性における花粉と雌ずいの自他識別後のSRK下流因子について、シロイヌナズナ、アブラナを材料として検討を行った。
アブラナについては、TSC28系統の候補遺伝子について、遺伝子破壊ベクターを人工的に合成して、植物に遺伝子導入を行った。現在、幼植物を得ており、この植物体の表現型の変化を観察することにより、初期の目的である下流因子を同定できるものと判断する。また、確定次第、論文をオープンアクセスとして公開する予定である。また、別系統のものについては、100個体を超える植物体を展開し、QTLの領域を狭めた。TSC28系統と同様に、研究の継続により、下流因子を同定でき、TSC28系統の下流因子との相互作用も検討可能となる。
シロイヌナズナについては、SCシロイヌナズナ系統の表現型が安定せず、候補遺伝子の導入を試みたが、安定した結果を得ることができず、候補遺伝子を絞り込むことが困難であった。昨年度のシロイヌナズナのSCの原因との関連を解き明かすことで、安定化させ、候補なのか、原因遺伝子なのかを明確にできると考えた。
本研究活動と並行して、この研究テーマである植物、品種改良、多様性、生殖というキーワードの元にアウトリーチ活動を100件行い、3,802通の児童生徒からの手紙に返事を行い、小中高生、その指導教員から高い評価を得た。本研究の今後の継続とともに、アウトリーチ活動についても継続したい。
