Outline of Final Research Achievements

The main purpose of this research project was to utilize and keep updating a digital archive for contemporary performing arts that the participating scholars had been building for the last ten years, focusing our attention on the notion of “mobility.” We were to grasp what is really happening at the real sites of performing arts in the UK, France, Germany, the US, Japan and elsewhere, through the active usage of the archive, while conducting our own fieldwork, hoping to come up with a new and more productive way to study contemporary performing arts. The project’s result is reflected in each participating researcher’s academic output during the period.
