I have designed surveys and collected data on newcomer adjustment through four surveys over time period of 12 months in Japan. Preliminary analyses suggests that all scales work relatively well and relationships among constructs used are as expected.

2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
I have now collected data through four surveys from approximately 800 newly employees in Japan. Naturally, the number of employees responding to surveys decreased from one survey to another. However, I was able to gain data in survey 4 from approximately from 50% of people who respondent to survey 1. I have also started to analyze the data.

| Strategy for Future Research Activity |
I hope to finish data analysis in two or three months. After that, I plan use the data to write several research papers. I plan to present these papers first in academic conferences and then submit them to academic journals. All this will take one or two more years.
