| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
平成27年度において以下の研究成果を得た。
１）国内公共牧野における放牧牛と生息マダニ、エジプトの牛、水牛、山羊、及びモンゴルの生息マダニにおけるピロプラズマの寄生状況を解析し、その実態を解読した。
２）馬ピロプラズマ病の現状と対策をとりまとめ、総論として学術的に発信した。
３）ピロプラズマの排除エフェクターとしての宿主マクロファージの役割について解明した。
４）ピロプラズマ病に対する新規薬剤の探索に有効なスクリーニング系を確立し、その候補薬剤のいくつかを同定した。

Reason
これまでの研究成果より、小型ピロプラズマ（Theileria orientalis）の増殖メカニズムの一端が解明され、本研究はおおむね順調に進展していると考える。

| Strategy for Future Research Activity |
平成28年度では、媒介マダニ唾液腺からのスポロゾイト期原虫の精製と牛体内でのシゾント期原虫感染細胞の分離を試み、その性状解析の結果からウシ小型ピロプラズマの増殖メカニズムの全体像を把握する。

| Causes of Carryover |
媒介マダニの実験感染モデル系の確立に想定以上の時間を要したこと、また感染ウシからのシゾント感染細胞の分離が困難で条件の変更等研究計画に見直しが生じたため、その結果として次年度使用が生じた。

| Expenditure Plan for Carryover Budget |
平成28年度の使用分経費として、物品費：2,000,000円、旅費：200,000円、人件費・謝金1,300,000円、及びその他：200,000円（計3,700,000円）を予定している。
