3次元ディスプレイに向けた任意曲面物体からのホログラム生成アルゴリズムの開発

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

ホログラフィによる3次元ディスプレイは光波面を忠実に再現できるため究極の方式として期待されている.この実用化には複雑な曲面を有する3次元物体からの光伝搬を計算し,ホログラムを高速に生成する必要がある.本研究ではポリゴンで近似することなく任意曲面から高速にホログラム計算ができる手法を開発し3次元像をリアルタイム再生することを目的としている.

前年度に申請者が開発を進めている点光源モデルでの高速化手法(波面記録法)を任意曲面生成向けに改良した.本年度は波面記録法の考えを拡張し,ホログラム計算でよく使われる角スペクトル法を任意曲面向けに拡張を行った.この方法は,最生像の高周波数成分がカットされてしまう問題があるが,計算量を抑えつつ任意曲面の計算が行える角スペクトル法の第一歩になる.この問題点は引き続き検証を行っていく.

前年度には3次元のカラーシーンからホログラムを計算する際に,RGB空間ではなくYCbCr空間上での計算手法を開発した.この手法により,RGB空間でのホログラム計算よりも最大で3倍の高速化を達成できたが,ランダム位相を使用していたため画質が劣化する問題があった.本年度は,ランダム位相を用いずにきれいな最生像が得られる手法の開発を行った.この手法をさらにYCbCr空間上での計算手法に適用することで,画質を劣化させずに計算を高速化できることを示した.
