| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) は多数（数百個以上）の小さな演算装置（コア）から構成され，メニコア一計算機の代表的な演算装置である.しかしながら，これらの高い並列性を実現する方法は解く問題に依存する.
本研究では，多くの組合せ最適化問題の一般形である2次割当て問題(QAP ; Quadratic Assignment Problem)をとりあげ，GPUを用いて進化計算を用いて並列計算で高速に解く手法の一般化を進めた.
また，この手法は，進化計算の他，組合せ最適化問題に適用される2-OPTローカルサーチやタブーサーチのGPUによる並列計算にも広く適用できる手法であることを確認した．
